Mike Lyddon’s new documentary Lovecraft in Florida at PENSACON 2026: Comics, Sci-Fi, and HORROR Convention.

Greetings fiends and lovers of fright, it’s your old pal Horror Mike T. Lyddon with a special announcement.  My documentary Lovecraft in Florida has been selected to screen at the 2026 PENSACON convention.

PENSACON is a large pop culture convention spanning the genres of comics, anime, sci-fi, horror, gaming, and fantasy. In 2026, thousands of fans will flock to Pensacola, Florida for Pensacon.  From February 20 thru the 22nd, Pensacon offers a wide variety of events and the long running Pensacon film festival.

I am pleased to announce that pleased to announce that my documentary Lovecraft in Florida will make its world premiere screening at Pensacon 2026!

Part one of a two part series, Lovecraft in Florida: DeLand and the Barlow House.  This short doc focuses on H.P. Lovecraft’s visits with his friend and key Lovecraft archivist Robert Barlow and the famed Barlow residence.

Lyddon found the house in DeLand, Florida, and gives us a very rare first hand look at the home as it stands today. We also visit the historic sugarmill in De Leon Springs, constructed in 1823.  This is an historic site that Lovecraft and Barlow visited on a few occasions.
