LOVECRAFT In FLORIDA Blu-Ray
Greetings, my name is Mike Lyddon and I’m pleased to present my brand new documentary LOVECRAFT In FLORIDA in a special signed blu-ray edition.
In April of 2024 I discovered that the
fabled Barlow house in DeLand, Florida, was still there. H.P. Lovecraft spent about four months during his last years at the Barlow home.
In August of that year I travelled across the Sunshine State to DeLand and St. Augustine, the oldest continuously occupied town in North America.
Lovecraft spent about two months in the ancient city making his cumulative time in Florida nearly six months in total.
This is significant because beyond his home state of Rhode Island and a two year stay
in New York, I believe the old gent spent more time in Florida than any other state in his adult life.
For the first time in a documentary, you will see the Barlow house and surrounding property and discover Lovecraft’s favorite places in the ancient city of St. Augustine.
HAUNTED THRILLS is my previous film about the pre-code horror and science fiction comic books of the 1950s.
In this unique documentary, I interviewed three living pre-code horror comics artists from that era. Then I took a trip to METROPOLIS COLLECTIBLES in New York for a chat with owner Vincent Zurzolo.
